Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell is resting and recovering at a hospital after suffering a neck injury during the Lions' game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday (November 1). Campbell was injured in the second half and was seen laying motionless on the turf after making a tackle. The Lions stated on Monday (November 2) that preliminary indications are positive, but out of respect for Campbell and his family, they will not share further information at this time.

Campbell was immobilized on a backboard and transported to the hospital as his teammates gathered around him in an emotional scene, according to Yahoo Sports. The Lions handed the Vikings their first loss of the season, but the victory was overshadowed by Campbell's injury.

Former Lions doctor Solomon Cogan, who is not treating Campbell, discussed the potential severity of neck injuries. He explained that moving an injured player immediately can exacerbate the injury, and the greatest concern is the potential for paralysis. Cogan noted that Campbell's head was in a more neutral position during the play, which could indicate a better outcome, as reported by FOX 2.

The Lions are expected to provide more information during a press conference scheduled for 3 p.m. on Monday (November 2), according to ClickOnDetroit.
