Amazon is making Thanksgiving dinner more affordable with a $25 meal deal that starts today. The offer includes an eight-pound Butterball turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, rolls, and ingredients for pumpkin pie. This deal is available through November 26, while supplies last, in over 2,300 U.S. cities and towns with Amazon's same-day grocery delivery service.
According to USA Today, eligible orders of $25 or more can qualify for free same-day delivery. The meal deal is part of Amazon's broader Thanksgiving promotions, which also include discounts on holiday sides, party snacks, and other essentials.
Chain Store Age reports that Amazon's offering is $10 less than Walmart's Thanksgiving meal bundle, although it includes fewer items. Amazon's meal does not specify how many people it can serve, unlike Walmart's, which is designed for 10 people.
In addition to the meal deal, Amazon is offering frozen turkeys at 79 cents per pound and fresh turkeys at 99 cents per pound later this month. The company is also promoting discounts on hosting and meal-prep essentials, such as 20% off select Hefty compostable products from November 14 through November 19, and 20% to 25% off select McCormick & Company meal essentials and baking supplies from November 19 through November 30.
Jason Buechel, VP of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores and CEO at Whole Foods Market, said, "Amazon makes it even easier for customers to put a delicious meal on the table." The meal deal and additional discounts aim to provide customers with everything they need for Thanksgiving at everyday low prices.
