Walmart is expanding its restaurant delivery service by partnering with Inspire Brands to offer Dunkin' delivery. This new collaboration allows customers to order Dunkin' beverages and food alongside their regular Walmart grocery purchases through the Walmart app. The service will initially launch at 150 Dunkin' locations inside Walmart stores, with plans to expand to nearly 10,000 Dunkin' locations nationwide.

The partnership with Inspire Brands, the parent company of Dunkin', marks a significant step for Walmart as it ventures beyond in-store restaurant tenants to independent locations. By leveraging its vast store network, which is within 10 miles of approximately 90% of the U.S. population, Walmart aims to enhance its delivery capabilities and compete with established services like DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Greg Cathey, Senior Vice President of eCommerce Fulfillment Transformation at Walmart, emphasized the convenience this partnership brings to customers. "The future of retail is about meeting customers wherever they are and simplifying their lives," he said. "By expanding restaurant delivery beyond our stores, we are offering a value and convenience proposition that is unmatched."

Scott Murphy, Dunkin' Brand President and Inspire Chief Brand Officer, echoed these sentiments, stating, "By bringing Dunkin' into the Walmart shopping experience, we're creating another convenient way for guests to get their favorite beverages and meals."

This move builds on Walmart's earlier restaurant delivery test with Subway and highlights the retailer's commitment to expanding its delivery network. As Walmart continues to grow its delivery speed capabilities, it positions itself as a strong contender in the restaurant delivery business.
