The White House has responded sharply to comedian Rosie O'Donnell after her recent guest-hosting stint on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' where she criticized President Donald Trump. During her three-day hosting, O'Donnell made several remarks about the president, including calling him "orange Voldemort" and suggesting he should resign to "make this country great again."

In response, a White House spokesperson, Davis Ingle, issued a statement calling O'Donnell a "nasty woman and a total slob," attributing her behavior to what they described as "Trump Derangement Syndrome." O'Donnell's comments included a parody of 'Danny Boy,' where she humorously criticized Trump's appearance and political decisions, urging him to step down.

The long-standing feud between O'Donnell and Trump dates back over two decades, with public exchanges becoming a hallmark of their interactions. O'Donnell, who has been living in Ireland since Trump's second inauguration, returned to the U.S. to guest-host the show and perform her one-woman stage show, 'Common Knowledge.'

Despite the White House's criticism, O'Donnell's guest-hosting role was well-received by audiences, with many praising her return to television. O'Donnell, however, denied rumors of a permanent TV comeback, stating she might consider a return when Trump is no longer in power.

Deadline reported on the White House's response, while Yahoo Entertainment highlighted O'Donnell's emotional tribute to the late actress Hayden Panettiere during her hosting stint. AOL also covered the White House's remarks and O'Donnell's embrace of the "nasty woman" label.
