More than six million tickets have been sold for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, as announced by LA28 on Monday (August 21). This milestone was reached at the end of the second ticket drop, with purchases coming from 129 countries and territories. Notably, over 700,000 tickets were sold at a discounted price of $28, and nearly a quarter of all tickets were priced under $100.

The ticketing process will continue in 2027 with a first-come, first-served sales phase, eliminating previous limits on the number of tickets fans can purchase per transaction. This new phase will also include the first Paralympic Ticket Drop, providing fans with more opportunities to secure their spots at the Games.

The LA28 Olympics are set to take place from July 14 to 30, 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games from August 15 to 27, 2028. LA28 has emphasized the importance of accessibility, offering a range of ticket prices to accommodate fans worldwide.

For those eager to attend, LA28 encourages signing up for their newsletter to receive updates on future ticket sales and opportunities. Visa remains the official payment method for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, continuing its long-standing partnership with the events.
