The New York Knicks have announced heightened security measures for Game Three of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on Monday (June 8). With President Donald Trump expected to attend, the Knicks, alongside the U.S. Secret Service, are implementing "TSA-style" screening procedures and a strict no-bag policy. Fans are advised to arrive at least two hours before the 8:30 p.m. ET tipoff to accommodate the additional security checks.

According to the Knicks, these measures are necessary due to the presence of President Trump, marking a historic moment as no sitting president has previously attended an NBA Finals game. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver stated, "There should be extra security for the president of the United States to be at a game, but I think the fans are very understanding of that."

The Knicks, currently leading the series 2-0 against the San Antonio Spurs, are looking to extend their lead. The team secured victories in the first two games, with standout performances from star point guard Jalen Brunson. In Game One, Brunson helped the Knicks overcome a 14-point deficit, while in Game Two, his game-tying bucket and a critical turnover by Spurs' Victor Wembanyama sealed the win.

Fans attending the game should note that there will be no storage available for prohibited items. The Knicks encourage attendees to travel light and follow all security guidelines to ensure a smooth entry into the venue.
