Negotiations between the United States and Iran are ongoing as both nations strive to reach a peace agreement. President Donald Trump expressed optimism on Truth Social, stating that talks are "proceeding nicely" and emphasized that any deal must be beneficial for all parties involved. He warned that without an agreement, military actions might resume "bigger and stronger than ever before."

Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the current proposal as "pretty solid" but noted that it remains a "work in progress." Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, acknowledged a "degree of understanding" but cautioned that an agreement is not yet imminent. Talks are taking place in Doha, Qatar, focusing on the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's uranium enrichment program.

The potential deal aims to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical channel for global oil trade. Oil prices dropped sharply as markets reacted to the possibility of a resolution. However, challenges remain, including disagreements over Iran's nuclear program and control of the strait.

President Trump has called for Middle Eastern countries to join the Abraham Accords, which normalize relations with Israel, as part of the broader peace effort. Despite progress, both sides acknowledge that significant hurdles must be overcome before a final agreement is reached.
