A tragic shooting spree in Plant City, Florida, left four members of the same family dead across two nearby homes on Sunday, according to local authorities. Police say the victims include a four-month-old baby, a four-year-old child, their 28-year-old mother, and their 55-year-old grandmother, whose lives were taken in what investigators are calling a homicide.

Officers first responded to a report of a disturbance at a home on West Tever Street, where they found the four-month-old and four-year-old with fatal gunshot wounds. The children’s mother was found alive but later died at a hospital, as reported by the Plant City Police Department. A third child at the scene was unharmed.

Soon after, police discovered a second crime scene less than a mile away on North Burton Street. There, the 55-year-old grandmother—mother to the 28-year-old victim—was found dead from a gunshot woun.

Detectives believe someone traveled on foot between the two locations during the early morning hours. Investigators are now asking residents and businesses to review any surveillance or doorbell camera footage from 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday, especially for images of a woman walking with three young children between North Burton Street and West Tever Street.

Neighbors described the aftermath as heartbreaking. Jody Kott, a resident near the scene, told WTVT, "We're devastated. Watching everything that unfolded is horrible. From what I saw, they will need every prayer they can get."

Police have not yet identified a suspect or a motive for the killings. The investigation remains active, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Plant City Police Department at 813-763-3316. Authorities continue searching for clues and have asked the community for help as they work to solve the case.
