Veteran sportscaster Dan Patrick revealed that the Tennessee Titans' upcoming new stadium is expected to host the Super Bowl in 2030, citing a source with knowledge of the situation.
"The 2030 Super Bowl, I was told by a source on Saturday, that it is signed and ready to go, in his opinion, that Nashville is getting the 2030 Super Bowl," Patrick said on the Dan Patrick Show. "I haven't seen any reports on this, and if there is a report on it, I'll acknowledge that, but this is what I was told on Saturday. Nashville is getting the 2030 Super Bowl, (Las) Vegas is getting the 2029 Super Bowl. 2027, Los Angeles, and then it's Atlanta in 2028."
Nashville has never previously hosted a Super Bowl as the Titans' current version of Nissan Stadium, which opened in 1999, is an open-air, bowl-style design. The new Nissan Stadium, which is set to open in the summer of 2027, will be an indoor multi-purpose stadium capable of hosting major events during all four seasons, having long been speculated to be the site of a future Super Bowl since its construction was initially announced.
The Titans' lone Super Bowl appearance came during their first season at the current Nissan Stadium and under their current name, one year after relocating to Nashville from Houston in 1998, having previously been the Houston Oilers from 1960 to 1996 and the Tennessee Oilers from 1997 to 1998.
