Students at Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish, Washington, were shown nude images during a classroom slideshow, according to a letter sent to parents by school principal Alicia Mitchell. The incident took place during a class presentation, where students were exposed to images containing nude breasts.
Principal Mitchell informed parents about the situation and assured them that the school is taking the matter seriously. She did not disclose how the images appeared in the presentation or whether it was intentional or accidental.
The school has not released the name of the teacher involved, nor have they detailed what disciplinary steps, if any, have been taken at this time. Principal Mitchell stated in her letter that the school's administration is investigating the incident and working to ensure that similar situations do not occur in the future.
Parents have been encouraged to reach out to the school with any concerns. As the investigation continues, the district will likely provide further updates to families and the community.
