President Donald Trump's net approval rating is currently at an all-time low, however, Democrats don't seem to be making ground.

Trump's net approval rating is reported to be at -19%, the lowest of any point during his second term in office, with a 37% approval rating, a 56% disapproval rating and 7% saying they're not sure in the daily YouGov/Economist poll for Wednesday (April 8). A separate CNN poll conducted last week, however, shows that the Democrats are still trailing Republicans by 4% in total party approval.

The CNN survey, which was published last Friday (April 3), had the Democratic Party at a 28% approval rating, which was also lower than this time last year. Democrats have, however, gained some momentum amid Trump's unpopularity, with most motivated voters claiming they'd support the party by a nearly two-to-one ratio.

Respondents also said they trust Democrats more than Republicans to protect health care, a key issue that the party can focus on during the midterm elections in November as they attempt to flip both the House of Representatives and Senate.

Trump is reported to currently have a -14.9% average net approval rating, according to RealClearPolling.com. The president is reported to have a 41.3% approval rating and a 56.2% disapproval rating based on the average of national polls conducted between March 19 and April 7, which is an improvement from the -15.9% average net approval rating among the 40.9% approval rating and 56.8% disapproval rating reported by the website based on the average of national polls days prior.
