Authorities have arrested the person accused of selling the rifle used by Mohamed Bailor Jalloh in the fatal shooting at Old Dominion University on Thursday (March 12).

Kenya Mcchell Chapman was taken into custody and faces charges of making false statements during the purchase of a firearm and dealing firearms without a license.

According to authorities, Chapman is believed to have knowingly provided false information to acquire firearms, which were later sold without the necessary licenses. The investigation into Chapman's activities revealed a pattern of illegal firearm transactions, raising concerns about the potential impact on public safety.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack at Old Dominion University, seeking to understand the full extent of Chapman's involvement.
