A woman was arrested after allegedly driving up to and shooting an AR-15-style rifle at the Los Angeles home of pop superstar Rihanna and hip-hop star A$AP Rocky on Sunday (March 8), the Los Angeles Police Department announced via NBC News.

Four rounds or fragments struck parts of the property when Rihanna was present before the suspected shooter was detained, the department confirmed. No injuries were reported and it's unclear whether A$AP Rocky or the couple's children were present at the time of the incident.

The suspect's name wasn't released publicly on Sunday, but Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Mike Bland said more details, including booking allegations, would be shared publicly on Monday (March 9). The incident took place at 1:15 p.m. local time just outside Beverly Hills.

Representatives for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky didn't give a public response to the incident as of Sunday. A possible motive wasn't yet determined at the time of publication. Bland confirmed that the weapon fired during the incident was recovered by responding officers who received a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.

The Los Angeles Police Department's elite Robbery-Homicide Division was assigned to the ongoing investigation. Video captured from NBC Los Angeles' helicopter showed what appeared to be bullet holes in a gate at the couple's home, as well as yellow crime scene tape attached to a squad SUV blocking the public street.

The home is part of the Beverly Crest area, an upscale neighborhood located about 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
