Newly released footage shows actor Shia LaBeouf getting beaten up during the incident that led to his arrest during the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans.

TMZ, which initially reported that LaBeouf, 39, was facing two charges of simple battery, citing court records, shared a clip of the actor struggling to get back to his feet after having already been knocked to the ground, with another man warning him as he landed two punches to his face.

"We gon' beat the f**k out you, boy. Chill!" the man said in the video.

TMZ had previously shared video footage of the aftermath of the altercation, which showed a shirtless LaBeouf facing people in the French Quarter. The actor was also seen leaning on a man while trying to talk to him on the street, as well as receiving medical aid inside an ambulance.

An eyewitness told TMZ that LaBeouf was escorted out of a bar by staffers for an unknown reason prior to the brawl taking place. The actor reportedly walked down the block before looping back around to the front of the bar, where he received treatment from responding paramedics.

LaBeouf has battled addiction and mental health struggles in the past which included entering a court-mandated rehab following his 2017 arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct in Savannah, Georgia. The actor had linked his substance abuse issues to untreated trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder stemming from his childhood. LaBeouf began his acting career as a child star, which included iconic roles starring in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens and comedy-drama film Holes, before later roles in the Transformers films, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Honey Boy, Fury and The Peanut Butter Falcon.
