President Donald Trump claimed that ICE raids "haven't gone far enough" during his first 60 Minutes interview since his lawsuit against CBS News.

Trump claimed that criticism on his federal crackdown on immigration stemmed "liberal judges" getting in the way after interviewer Norah O'Donnell asked if he though "some of these raids" went too far.

“No. I think they haven’t gone far enough because we’ve been held back…by the liberal judges that were put in by Biden and by Obama,” Trump said in a preview of the interview set to air Sunday (November 2) night.

“Americans have been watching videos of ICE tackling a young mother, tear gas being used in a Chicago residential neighborhood, and the smashing of car windows,” O’Donnell said during the interview, which was filmed at the president's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Friday (October 31).

“You’re okay with those tactics?” she then asked.

“Yeah, because you have to get the people out,” Trump responded.

Trump's 60 Minutes interview took place weeks after CBS News named The Free Press co-founder Bari Weiss as its new editor-in-chief upon purchasing her online news and commentary outlet and months after its parent company, Paramount Global, agreed to a settlement that could pay the president north of $30 million in relation to his election interference lawsuit stemming from its 60 Minutes interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
