Indiana Pacers rookie Kam Jones was arrested after leading police on a short chase on Monday (October 20), WTHR reports.

Jones, 23, was charged with reckless driving and resisting law enforcement following the incident, which took place at around 9:50 a.m. local time, according to Marion County records. The former Marquette standout was accused of driving erratically and didn't initially pull over before leading officers on a "brief chase" on Interstate 65.

Jones was held in Marion County Jail on Monday afternoon and his bond hadn't been set at the time of publication. The Pacers issued a statement to WTHR confirming they were aware of the situation involving Jones.

“We are aware of the situation involving Kam Jones. We are in the process of gathering additional information and will not have any additional comment on the matter at this time,” the Pacers said.

Jones was selected by the Pacers at No. 38 overall in the second-round of the 2025 NBA Draft in June. The Colorado native was a consensus second-team All-American and First-team All-Big East selection in 2025, having averaged a collegiate career-best 19.2 points, 5.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.

Jones was also a Second-team All-Big East selection in 2023 and a Big East All-Freshman selection in 2022.
