Duck Dynasty star Silas 'Uncle Si' Robertson has been hospitalized after suffering from "a severe sinus infection," Justin Martin, a longtime friend and employee of the Robertson family's Duck Commander business, revealed in a post shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday (October 1).
"Before any rumors get started, yes Uncle Si is in the hospital," Martin wrote. "He’s doing very well but was having a little trouble whooping a severe sinus infection. He’s very much on the mend and will be discharged soon. It’s awesome to be surrounded by guys who practice what they preach. Full story will drop on the @duckcallroom soon!"
Several followers shared their well wishes following Martin's announcement.
“Get that man an extra strong batch of iced tea n he’ll be good to go,” one user wrote.
“We love you Uncle Si 🙏❤️," a second user wrote.
Si was the brother of Duck Commander founder Phil Robertson, who passed away earlier this year. The Robertson family's business and personal lives were chronicled on the A&E series Duck Dynasty from 2012 to 2017.
Phil Robertson died in May at the age of 75 following a battle with Alzheimer's disease. The Louisiana native also started at quarterback ahead of Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw at Louisiana Tech at Louisiana Tech before ending his football career in 1968.
