President Donald Trump ripped former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, calling her a "disgusting degenerate," while also alleging that her husband, Paul, made money off "inside information" in a post shared on his Truth Social account Saturday (August 9) night.

"Crooked Nancy Pelosi, and her very 'interesting' husband, beat every Hedge Fund in 2024. In other words, these two very average 'minds' beat ALL of the Super Geniuses on Wall Street, thousands of them," Trump wrote. "It’s all INSIDE iNFORMATION! Is anybody looking into this??? She is a disgusting degenerate, who Impeached me twice, on NO GROUNDS, and LOST! How are you feeling now, Nancy???"

It wasn't immediately clear what led to Trump's scathing post about the Pelosis, which was shared at 7:13 p.m. ET, however, the congresswoman has already publicly denied accusations of insider trading amid scrutiny from conservatives.

“Pelosi does not own any stocks and has no knowledge or subsequent involvement in any transactions,” spokesperson Ian Krager told the New York Post last month.

Lawmakers aren't required to publicly share their net worth and it's unclear how much Rep. Pelosi has made, though Quiver Quantitative has estimated that she's worth at least $263.23 million, which would make her the fourth-richest member of congress. Data shared by Bloomberg showed that Paul Pelosi's trades in 2024 outperformed the S&P 500's 25% gain with 54% in returns and he invested in Tempus AI, an artificial intelligence firm at $31.83 per share just before it reached a $200 million deal with AstraZeneca to increase its price to about $60.87 per share.

Other transactions have also led to speculation of insider trading including trades of NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks and Vistra, all of which were reported to be well-timed.
