Authorities in Philadelphia arrested a man accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail through the window of a daycare center. Surveillance video captured the masked suspect, who has not been identified, walking up to Children's Positive Place Too and tossing the incendiary device through the window around 9 a.m. on Tuesday (March 16) morning.
The device shattered the window, but the fire did not spread to the interior of the building. There were no children inside at the time, and nobody was injured.
The suspect was then seen getting into the passenger seat of a white Toyota, which drove away.
The police tracked down the suspect and took him into custody about a mile from the arson scene. They are still looking for the driver of the vehicle. According to KYW, police officials said they found several incendiary devices but did not provide any details about the individual or his motivations for the attack.
Charges against the suspect are pending.
