CA Governor Gavin Newsom

"We simply are not going to enforce...these ridiculous edicts when you cannot prove that they do anything to actually stem the tide".

CA's Placer County Supervisor Kirk Uhler pointedly criticized Gavin Newsom's latest lockdown order, stating that the governor is intent on making decisions for the entire state without consulting with local leadership.

During an interview on The Armstrong & Getty Show, Uhler told A&G that Newsom has "moved the goalposts" numerous times over the past 9 months, changing the COVID-19 guidelines "at a whim, with no science...to back it up."

Uhler also criticized Newsom for a failure to communicate with his county, believing that Newsom "doesn't care to". The supervisor says that the Governor's "top down, command and control approach" to California's economy" is infuriating". Uhler went on to describe how his county is responding to the lockdown by considering a proposal to help local businesses pay any state-issued fines levied for ignoring the mandates.
