This Week's Weird News 8/21/20

A pair of eerie photos that may feature full-bodied apparitions, a jaw-dropping 'Bubble House' that just went on the market in Australia, and a curious video from Iceland that seems to show a creature peering over a cliff are among the strange and unusual stories to cross our desk this past week.

In what may be an indication that we're nearing Halloween season already, this past week saw a pair of stories featuring eerie photographs of potential ghosts. First, in New Mexico, a camera stationed at a graveyard captured images of what appeared to be the spirit of a toddler who passed away two years ago visiting her own grave. Then, in England, a security system at a construction site snapped a photo of a spooky woman dressed in a long white dress wandering through the area.

A breathtaking and truly one-of-a-kind residence went on the market in Australia this week. Known as the 'Bubble House,' the home was built by architect Graham Birchal and features eleven connecting domes that range from 13 to 26 feet in diameter. Boasting a whopping 20 rooms, the unique building, which is expected to fetch over a million dollars, has long fascinated people living in the area and, thanks to a realtor video showcasing the property, they can now see inside the house for the first time.

One of the more perplexing pieces of footage we've seen in quite some time arrived this past week by way of Iceland where a musician filmed what she believes was some kind of creature peering out from the side of the cliff. Vigdís Howser Haroardottir recorded the odd scene while visiting the country's popular Dettifoss waterfall and only noticed the oddity when she later looked at the videos on her phone. While she did not go so far as to suggest that the anomaly was an elf, Haroardottir did note that the location is just a stone's throw away from what Icelandic lore says is the capital city of the entities.
